Is it common for this age and mileage on a car to have a short in the main fuse box under the hood? I had an issue where the car wouldn't start, then it started, didn't run correctly, then stall out and then started on its own again, (we do have remote starter) didn't use remote start. Then smoke started coming from the underside of the dash. No fire started, but main fuse box and all wires have to replaced. We waited for smoke to clear then disconnected battery to not cause a fire. I inquired about if this is covered under extended warranty, or if possibly anyone else has contacted Saturn with having issues as it may become a possible recall item? I'm sure you now notice this isn't covered, I also contacted my car insurance company to see if possibly covered as well, I am still waiting to hear outcome after they review vehicle.
Thanks for your response in advance!
