How long can a car run if oil cooler is not replaced right away?

If a oil cooler is leaking oil into the coolant it should be replaced right away before the car over heat's.Also the sooner you replace it the easier it will be to flush the oil out of the cooling system.The longer you wait the more oil you will get in the coolant and the hard it will be to flush.If you let it go long enough you will ruin your engine.
