Electrical problem
2003 Saturn L200 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 77700 miles

Hi! I have a question about my battery. Something is draining my new battery in my Saturn L200. It will stay charged for about 48 hours, then my husband will have to take it to an auto parts store to get it recharged. They have put it on a tester and said that it is not the alternator or starter. He recently went to Firestone and they told him that it could be an electrical problem. Also when he gets it recharged, the second day, the interior lights would not be on, but the car would crank. If I go about 15-20 miles, turn it off and try to crank it again, it doesn't. This is a really frustrating problem and I need your help!

You have a parasitic draw problem by the sounds of it. A short or a light left on are common draw problems. The batery can be checked for draw in Milliamps. (I believe it should exceed 30 milliamps). When it is checked for the draw, fuses are removed one by one to narrow down where the source circuit is as it will drop down to the acceptable range when that fuse of the offendeding circuit is found.
