It does not seem to matter if the keys are in the ignition or not, but I find this happening most often in the evening when I can see the parking lamps partially lit out my driveway.
Its also important to note that while the parking relay buzzes, the interior dome lights, shifter light, radio and instrumental panel lights flicker and flash, but never come on completely. The exterior lights (parking lights and license plate) come on too, but are much more dim than normal. I'd say that they're about 50% of full ON brightness.
I can stop the buzzing by keying the headlight switch from AUTO to ON (either position). The buzzing only happens when the lights system is set to AUTO.
This model does have the photo voltaic sensor on the dash, and last weekend I replaced on the steering column headlight switch with a new OEM part in an attempt to fix this problem. That did not help.
It has been cold in my home state the past few months, but there doesn't seem to be a direct correlation between the temperature and the times when this happens and doesn't.
The problem also happens when the car is in park versus drive. There's no difference.
The only way I can STOP it when it happens is to key the lights to ON or pull the parking lamp relay. The relay is pulled right now.
I've also tried swapping the relays around to see if I had a bad relay, but the buzzing happens no matter which of the same type of relay I put in there.
I do not have any BCM symptoms at this point. My door locks, truck release and everything work fine. Alarm works fine too.
