I could not find the fuse for the Auxillary Power Outlets in the instrument panel one nor the engine compartment one and was about to ask if anyone knew where it was. Then I had another look at my owner's manual and lo and behold there is a third panel in the trunk! With a fuse(burnt out) for the auxilliary outlets.
So I don't have a question but a comment and some advice. My comment is Saturn has smaller size fuses (in dimensions) than any other American car I have worked on in the last forty years from rebuilding engines and transmiussions to replacing bulbs and wiper blades. Why does Staturn have to have different (smaller) fuses than other domestic cars?
My advice is, it pays to read your owners manual.
I have a related question. Why did the fuse burn out even though I never used the power outlets since I bought the car six months ago? Any ideas?

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

We really appreciate the donation and the information you have listed here.

To answer your questions (comment?) About the Saturn fuses, not all Saturn vehicles utilize the mini-bus fuses in there vehicles. However, the purpose of them using the mini-bus fuses in their newer vehicles is not known to me. Perhaps a call to a Saturn dealer might help. If you talk to the right person. (Goodluck with that, haha :) )

Even though you are not using the power outlets, there should still be current running through the fuse itself. Fuses blow at random times, just wear and tear so to speak. If you replace it and it continously blows the same fuse, this is when there is a problem.

Thanks again for the donation and your comments/advice.

Hope this helps.
