2007 Saturn Aura Parking Gear

I have a 2007 Saturn Aura. I put the car in park, but it wouldn't shift into park. I Had to put the E-Break on, and now the car wont start because it is not technically in park. I tried starting it in neutral and that didn't work either. Is there anything else I can try, or do I have to have it towed somewhere to get it worked on?

It sounds like the shifter cable may have broken. If the shifter now feels easier to move than before, then it's probably the cable. You will have to get it towed to a shop of your choice and have them take a look at it. It's not starting because the transmission is still in drive, even though the shifter says park.
