Hello, I am trying to do a repair on a Vector. The code reader says P0715. I have been looking around for video help, but I have not had any luck. Would you guys have any free advice you could give me?

P0715 is a code for the input shaft/turbine speed sensor. It is hiding under the battery tray on the front side of the trans. Two common issues- the sensor itself has failed or the battery has leaked a bit and damaged the wiring harness.

To test you can just swap the input sensor with the output sensor (on the back side of the trans) They are the same part. Swapping them and taking a short test drive will show you real quick if it is the sensor or the wiring, if it is the sensor it will set a different code for the output speed sensor. If it is the wiring you will only have the current code.

They are not hard to remove and replace, but be sure to apply a bit of transmission fluid to them to keep the o-ring happy. The new sensor should be about one hundred dollars or so, they like you to replace them in pairs but I have not seen an issue with only replacing the failed one.
