My radio screen went out and has done it before, not only that but all the lights for the 6 disc cd player as well. I have no sound at all and the cd number doesnt show on the SID. Last time it was just a fuse, this time the fuse is fine. what is the cause of this? is this a common problem?

u may need to replace the radio amp under your drivers seat ,but recommend taking car to dearler to have them diagnose issue ,u sound like u have a o-bus issue or[ fiberoptic wiring break ] in system ,mostly for those cars it's the amp under the d/s frt seat ,do u know someone else with a car like yours ,& there radio works ,if so borrow there amp to test yours before u buy ,PART SOMEWHAT EXPENSIVE $745.00 NEW from saab ,it may be able to rebuild yours at half the price . good luck.
