The black smoke is a sign that it is burning too much gasoline. Check the fuel pressure, if it is too high, over 13 psi that could explain it and if it is check for a kink in the metal fuel line causing excessive back pressure and if none is found try replacing the fuel pressure regulator located on the throttle body. If the fuel pressure is okay, you may have one or both fuel injectors dripping gasoline, so remove the air cleaner and look at the spray patterns while the engine is idling. If it will not idle, have someone else keep there foot down slightly on the gas pedal. Then look for any dripping in either of the fuel injector spray patterns, if found either try some fuel injector cleaning or replace the dripping fuel injector. Make sure neither drip when the engine is off, too.
