The car runs great if I'm easy on the throttle. Don't notice any real nasty sounds coming from the transmission. When I put pedal to metal and the rpm's get to around 3,000 the rpm's run to red line and the power seems to disconnect. I let off the gas still in gear and it bucks and catches again with a quick little screech. Happens in all gears I've tried 1-4. The clutch doesn't catch until the pedal is almost all the way released. But I hear this is common with this vehicle. Just bought it twelve hours ago. The previous owner says the clutch was changed two years ago and the car has been in the garage most of the time since. Do you think, bad clutch job, bad transmission, or maybe bad rear end? Never dealt with this problem before. Appreciate the help.

Hello,

It sounds like the clutch is slipping but to be sure can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise?that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

Here is a video of the clutch replacement being done on a similar car. The process is the same
