I recently ran over the corner of a cement block that holds a furniture sign in place with my driver side rear tire. Since then it's been making a roaring noise at times when I go 55 mph or better. What kind of damage could I have done and would the tire Need to be replaced? The tires are just 6 months old

Sounds like you could have bend a tie rod lower or a lower control arm or even busted a belt in a tire. Its really not going to be easy for us to be able to give you 100% correct answer here due to the many things it could be.

Wow my spell check freaked out. Let me say that again. It sounds like you could have bent a lower control arm or busted a belt in a tire. You need to get someone to look into this. We cannot give you 100% correct answer on this kind of problem.

Hi, I took my car in today to have it looked at and they only found that it was out of alignment. I still hear the roar but not as often as before. Should I still be concerned and take it elsewhere or question the place that checked it and ask if the tie rod lower or lower control arm is ok?

I believe the shop would have noticed if the control arm was bent. As for the tie rod end thats only for the front I spoke without reading on that on. Sounds like you have a wheel bearing failing or its the tire, I would have a name brand tire shop take a look at the wheel and tire and make sure everything is ok there. Write back and let me know the outcome.

Thanks ryan
