I just bought this car used and came across an issue with the right turn signal. When I flip the lever up to signal right it does blink 3 times but then shuts off. When I turn it off however. Sometimes it does another 3 blinks then shuts off. Then I thought of something. I moved the lever part way up to signal right and the blinkers continued signalling without stopping. Do you think it may have to do with the lever in some point that has to do with some sort of connector issue or could it be something else if anyone came across this before?

Hi,

The three flashes are achieved by pressing the lever briefly and releasing. Does it do it when the lever clicks and holds the lever? If it does, then it sounds like the switch itself is bad.

Let me know. If you determine the switch is bad, pictures 1 and 2 explain how it's replaced.

When I use the right turn signal fully, yes it’s when it only blinks three times. When I concentrate it half way but I leave it there not just briefly. It stays on properly.

Honestly, it sounds like the multi function switch is failing internally. I suspect something is loose causing it to actuate 3 times twice.
