I'm running a camera from my reverse to the front of my radio, which wire can I connect my red wire too, to get the signal for my camera to show when I put it in reverse, which color is the wire on my factory radio. Since I don't have the reverse wire nor the harness On my factory radio.

Hello, I'm Danny.

What is the model-brand of the camera you are installing? That would help so I can look up the manufacturers wiring diagram or harness. Let us know and we'll go from there. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

I have no reverse wires or the input where the yellow USB go, the end that goes all the way up to the front of my car radio.

So I tried adding this to the other empty part on the back of my radio and plugged the yellow piece in but now I don't know where the little red wire goes.

Additional question, does your car have the large scree radio with navigation? If yes the OEM camera doesn't connect to the radio, it connects to the gateway that is behind the headliner in the rear of the car below the radio antenna using the cable that is inside the rear hatch. The wire connections are in the attached. If you have the small screen and no nav. There is no OE provision for a camera or display of one on that version. However the factory system uses its own camera type and most universal styles will not work with the OE system as they don't use a normal NTSC video input.

Hello again.

The Dodge Journey came with 2 different audio configurations the Base, and Premium. The base model has no provisions to have a rear camera installed without major modifications and the premium model had a back-up camera included. If you can provide us with your VIN - vehicle identification number we will go from there and figure this out. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.

That looks like the SE version which didn't have an available camera. If the display looks like the first one it cannot have a camera connected as there is no video circuitry in the radio or display. If it looks like the second one and has the navigation option and the camera option it should already have the camera on the rear. However I have never seen an SE with the camera option. Without that it may not even have the connections for the camera on the module in the rear. There is a company that makes an upgrade for them that gives you all of those but the unit isn't cheap. Also there is no easy way to upgrade the system using the OE parts without a kit as the 13 and up units with the large screen are security coded and just installing them will only get you an error code.

You're welcome.
Maybe you might want to research online if there is a complete aftermarket camera system you can add. Just means you might be inconvenienced with a monitor you will have to suction cup mount somewhere on the dash or center console. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros. Hope you will use our site again in the future when needed.
