Replacing brake calipers

I replaced the rotor, and the pads. I can fit the caliper over the rotor and get one screw to go in and tighten, but the other starts to go in almost to the threads and won't go any further. It doesn't matter which one. Top or bottom, one always stops just before the threads so I can get both tightened.

Good morning,

It sounds like the calipers are not fully seated correctly. The pistons may not be fully retracted not allowing the caliper to seat correctly.

Can you post some pictures of what you see? I attached some guides for you of the replacement of the pads, rotors and calipers.

As I suspected, the caliper piston is not fully retracted. The pistons need to e all the way in.

Then the pad will rest against the caliper and then it will fit over the rotor.
