The starter you need should match whichever engine your car has. That could be an issue though as 2004 was a transition year, you will need to look up which engine you actually have, it should be on the emissions tag stuck to the radiator support under the hood. The reason for this is that Hyundai used 7 different engines in 2003 into 2004 and then added 3 different ones in the same size in 2004. So if you went in and said, I need a starter for a 2004 with a 2.9 you have a one in six chance of getting the correct one. So look on that sticker to get the number or post the first 10 digits of the VIN and we can try to determine the correct one.
