Good day,
To replace compressor control valve, is it necessary to remove compressor and discharge Freon from system? Or it can be replaced in situ?

Compressor control valve? Can you please explain?

Do you mean the expansion valve?

Do you think you can be a little more descriptive as to what the control valve is that you are referring too? I assume you are talking about the compressor clutch?

I put a picture of the compressor to try and figure this out. The issue I am having is we don't have a component that is part of the compressor called the control valve so I am hoping we can figure out the part that you are going for and we will figure this out. Thanks

Thanks. Yes, the compressor must be removed for this procedure.

if you are going to do this, make sure you use 1,000 volt gloves to disable the Hybrid system.

How was it determined that this was the issue?

Removal and Installation

CAUTION: If installing a new A/C compressor due to an internal failure of the old unit, carry out the following procedures to remove contamination from the A/C system. Failure to remove contamination from the A/C system, if present, will result in poor A/C performance and/or damage to the new A/C compressor and other components.
If A/C flushing equipment is available, carry out flushing of the A/C system prior to installing a new A/C compressor.
If A/C flushing equipment is not available, carry out filtering of the A/C system after a new A/C compressor has been installed.
Install a new thermostatic expansion valve (TXV), as directed by the A/C flushing or filtering procedure.
Install a new auxiliary TXV, as directed by the A/C flushing or filtering procedure.
Install a new passenger zone valve.
Install a new battery zone valve.
Install a new receiver/drier as directed by the A/C flushing or filtering procedure.

NOTE:
Installation of a new receiver/drier is not required when repairing the A/C system except when there is physical evidence of system contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the receiver/drier.
If installing a new A/C compressor, the A/C clutch disc and hub, A/C compressor pulley and A/C clutch field coil must be inspected and transferred from the old unit to the new unit if suitable for reuse.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Recover the refrigerant.
3. Remove the RH lower engine splash shield.

Many thanks Roy,
2CarPros is the best site.

Regarding your question "How was it determined"? : - Just my friend's conditioner had the same symptoms as mine, he had changed this valve and now all is in order, that is why I decided to do the same.
