3.6l. Removed all connectors and hoses as well as bolts, I see there is a star looking bolt on the wheel side of the passenger side valve cover. Do they need to come out and how? They are between the first and second bolt on side, and 2nd and 3rd bolt.

I am not sure which star looking bolt you are talking about other then the torx bolt in the cam sensor.

If that is not it, can you get a picture of it?

However, here is the process for removing the head cover to see if this answers your question. Thanks

Yeah. A picture would be great but I don't remember taking that off when doing this. However seeing it may help. Plus I can stop by the local dealer in the morning and get a closer look at a 3.6L if needed. But let's start with the picture and go from there. Thanks

This part that I circled? I am pretty sure that is a a stud where you clip the harness to it. Either way, no it should come off without removing that. Looks like you have the valve cover bolt already loose next to it so you should be good.

I found one rocker arm that is bad, I am about to replace it. What is the torque spec for when tightening the camshaft bracket bolts?

I am attaching the entire engine torque specs just in case you need other things as well or in the future.
