release bearing burns when the clutch pedal is press to the clutch plate?

if there is a noise or smell when operating the clutch, there is only one thing to do. I would pull the transmission out and inspect for a worn or damaged clutch. when replacing a clutch, all items should be replaced, plate, pressure plat, thrust bearing and if used the spigot bearing in the fly wheel. the fly wheel should always be surfaced as well. If the fly wheel is a duel mass unit, these are not machined and must be replaced.
