Also, while you can rebuild the rack have you looked into replacements? It is clearly much easier, and they have many options that are not too costly.
In fact, here is a link that has a rebuilt Cardone option for a pretty good price and it includes new inner tie rods. If your outer tie rods are not loose, then you can reuse them but there are replacement ones that are very affordable on there as well.

I understand it is a little more money than rebuilding it, but it is much quicker and easier for not much more money.
