This warning came on along with the check engine light. When I try to accelerate fast, the truck slows down. Could this be the throttle position sensor? If so, where could I get one?

Hello, these newer vehicles can go into reduced power mode for many reasons, have you had it scanned for codes? There is a new On Star setup where if the vehicle detects it has been stolen it will do exactly what you are describing. Ill post info on that. But have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes to see if there are any stored. Its possible the Onstar is malfunctioning or something else is causing the reduced power mode. The PCM does this to either prevent damage to the engine or transmission, or for a security reason. But there is a code stored if the check engine light is on, Autozone will scan it for free, write down the code, and let us know what it is. Newer vehicles has a host of code setting criteria now, So without a code we have no direction. But pretty much all auto parts stores will scan the vehicle for free now, dont let them sell you parts until we know whats happening with it This should still be under warranty correct?
