I just got this vehicle. The rear glass that slides down will not go down when I hit the switch. I've checked and there's voltage getting to the motor and regulator and I even replace those but it still will not do anything. I have read on order models there is some sort of training procedure but I have not seen one for this generation to Sport Trac. Is there one?

Hello,

There does not say there is a reprogramming to the new motor. here are the instructions and diagrams to do the repair. Do you get power at the motor and ground? Here is a guide to help:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.

Thanks Ken,

It is actually the motor and regulator to the rear glass of the truck not in the door. I should have been more clear. Do you have any information on that? Thanks!

Hi Ken,

I tried the initialization procedure with no luck. Thanks for the information. Do you have the pinouts of the plug going to the motor?

Thanks,
Bryan

There is an Acc/Delay relay that I would look at in the smart junction box on the left side of he dash. here is a guide to help check it with the wiring diagrams for the rear window:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

Check out the diagrams (below). Please run this test and get back to us.

Ken, I'm stumped! I trace the wires on the plug and checked all the voltages everything going to the motor is correct I get 12 volts where I should get 12 volts in the switch goes 12 volts when I go up in 12 volts when I go down but the motor does nothing. I even tried plugging in the old motor and doing the initialization procedure and neither motor does anything. I am thinking about trying to get a warranty replacement and try another motor and regulator what do you think? Thank you for all your help.

I would check the system grounds next, connect the test light to power and run the test. Let me know.
