Hi,

I have recently replaced a rear light on a mk8 Fiesta. The brake and indicator works but the normal rear light does not.

What could be causing this?

Regards,
Hayley

Your exterior lights are controlled by a body control module that has fet circuits for the lights, so if you have a bulb shorted or open the circuit will be disabled until it is repaired. I usually disconnect the battery to reset things and they usually work after that. If problem persists you will need to take it to the dealer or a shop that has diagnostic equipment that can read BCM codes. Hope this helps.
