Can I swap a 7.5 rear end for 8.8 rear end without modifying anything?

You will need new U-bolts and plates as the axle tubes are larger. Be sure the gear ratio is the same or you will need to use a scan tool to reprogram the new axle ratio in so the speedometer, ABS and engine controls are all happy.
If you have drum brakes you will want the "new" rear to have drums as well and make sue of the width.
Other than that it is a bolt in.
