So, I pulled my van into the driveway the other day and noticed a nut lying on the ground where the van normally sits. Any idea where I could start looking for missing nuts on the van? It has marking OF 181 on it if that helps at all.

I looked under the hood, and everything seems in order nothing missing that I can tell, but all the nuts under there are dingy and dirty and this one I found looks shiny and new. So, I'm wondering if this even came off the van at all?

I am going to borrow my neighbors' ramps and try to look under the van this weekend, I just don't know where to start looking.

Hello,

It is possible that it does not belong to your vehicle. It could have just got stuck on the under carriage from the road somewhere. As you know rocks and other small objects get thrown up with tires.

If there is not rattling or any other issues, chances are this does not belong to your vehicle.

Upload a picture of the nut.

Let me know if you find anything after inspection.

Thank you.

I'm hoping it's not from the van I just wanted to be sure something isn't broken or falling off. If the pictures help identify where it could have come from, I've attached them.

I tried looking up Honda OF 181 nut and all the results I got were from ATVs...

This does not appear to be a nut from your vehicle. These type of nuts are not used from the factory. Also notice how clean it is.
Unless there was recent work done that someone might have used that type of nut. But these are not used for automotive.

Okay, that makes me feel better. We only have one vehicle so it may have come up off the road like you said. Or the rain washed it into our driveway.

Thanks
