Radio not working?

When it is hot outside the radio does not work and the mileage flashes. Did a proxy alignment several times and the odometer is fixed but the radio does not come back on. It comes on after 15 minutes of running. But it is so intermittent.

So, this can be one of three things, either the radio head, integrated center stack module or the integrated center stack switch is going out. To be sure we need to do a CAN scan which is easy. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

To me it sounds like the radio head is going out which you can get a rebuilt unit by searching google or eBay. Here is how to change the unit out int he images below. Also, you can try a hard reboot which is done by removing the negative side of the battery, with the cable loose from the negative side of the battery, hold it to the positive terminal for 1 minute this will discharge the memory capacitors in the BCM and PCM allowing the system to reboot.
