Putting in too much oil

I decided to fill my oil in the dark. I've siphoned out some excess oil but I can't get an accurate reading on the dipstick yet. Will my car still smoke for a little afterwards or do I need to siphon more out?

Smoking? How much oil did you add into the car? You need to set it at the full mark on the dipstick. I attached a guide and a video for you for changing the oil and filter for you.
