Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.
It sounds like you may have a clogged expansion valve. The expansion valve controls the amount of refrigerant released into the evaporator. It is fitted to the evaporator inlet/outlet pipes. The valve separates the high-pressure side of the system from the low-pressure side. A small passage, or "orifice, " allows only a small amount of liquid into the evaporator. The amount of refrigerant that it allows through depends on the evaporator temperature and pressure, and the temperature of the air passing through the evaporator. If the orifice is plugged, it will create too much high side pressure and to little low side pressure.
If you find it is the problem, (and based on your description, that is my first suspect) here are the directions for replacement. The pictures attached correlate with these directions. Also, the expansion valve isn't serviceable. It will need replaced.
Removing And Installing/Replacing Expansion Valve
Draw off R134a.
Remove heater bulkhead. See: Heating and Air Conditioning > Procedures
Release screw.
Unfasten screws and remove pressure and suction pipe.
Installation: Replace O-rings.
If necessary, release unlocking mechanism and remove circulating air flap.
Release nut (1) and lay twin pipe (2) to one side.
Installation: Replace O-rings.
Release screw and remove expansion valve.
Installation: Replace O-rings.
