1996 Pontiac Transport heater will work at times and not ot

Why does the heater not come on when I turn it on but start driving and suddenly kicks on and starts working. After car is turned off and started back up it does'nt work then kicks on later at all time the heater is hot just does not stay on.

If your saying the blower motor is intermittent. I'd have to check voltage and ground at the blower motor, when the problem is ongoing. Could be faulty blower motor or wiring circuit problem somewhere? At the blower motor connector, purple wire is voltage and black is ground.
