2001 PONTIAC SUNFIRE, 120000 MILES 2.2 LITRE ENGINE. MY CAR WAS CHUGGING THIS MORNING AND I WAS WONDERING IF IT IS DUE TO THE VERY COLD WEATHER OR IF IT IS TRANSMISSION? IT WAS ABOUT 30 BELOW ZERO AND IT HAD BE WARMING UP FOR ABOUT 45 MIN BEFORE I DROVE IT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

30 below zero :shock: I would think after warming up for 45 minutes it should run okay. Did it seem like it was misfiring is the chugging?

YEAH. BUT ONLY WHEN I WOULD PUSH ON THE GAS ABOVE 55 MPH. COULD THAT BE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID GELLING OR THE GAS?

Dumb question but I gotta ask. Some it seem like this may be a vibration. When it is that cold the tires will have a flat spot from where they setting and freeze like that. That will cause a vibration that can be felt at varied speeds depending on several factors.
