A few months ago I was getting a high pitched whistling noise. So we went and bought a few things. A new battery, tensioner belt, cooling fan, water pump. Afterwords the noises stopped. Last night they came back. Also I've been having trouble starting my car. Is the problem my alternater or is this a vacuum leak?

If you revv the vehicle what happens to this whistling sound? Does it go away?

Sometimes it goes away and other times it gets louder. It doesnt whistle with the rpm's

F4I_guy I have something similar to this situation. I know this is and old post. But when I accelerate it makes a rattle. And when its turned on it also rattles for a few then it stops. Till I accelerate.
