Replaced head gasket and water pump and car ran fine for about 5-6 days then check engine light came on, had code reader put on it and it said MAP sensor. Replaced MAP sensor cleared codes and check engine light came back on, again code reader read MAP sensor. Smells like too much gas going to motor and idles rough also uses lots of gas. Most searches tell me to check vacumm lines but which ones and where do I find them?

You see the red nipple, that may plug into a fitting instead of a hose, that is for vacuum. The sensor needs a vacuum source. Some map sensors are mounted on the firewall or away from manifold vacuum, so they use a vacuum line, that is connected to manifold vacuum.

Your map sensor may plug straight into the vacuum source. Any time you get a sensor code, you need to check the circuits that plug into the sensor. Just replacing the sensor may not fix it.
