1997 Pontiac Sunfire cuts out while cruisng

I had that problem with my 2000 sunfire and try a new battery because the sides of the battery were puffed out the coil pack needs 12 volts constantly so if u have a bad battery or alternator it will cause this problem hope this helps let me know

Thanks for your reply, I found that changeing the coil packs solved the prob.
