Clutch Going Out?

I drive a 1998 Pontiac Trans AM and just had the motor rebuilt in January, so not a whole lot of miles on it. Every time I put her in reverse it grinds really bad and pops out into neutral. I just noticed she has no power at all anymore. When I put her in 2nd it takes a while to get going, and if I was to press on the gas she just revs up. Is that the clutch? And if it is, is it really bad to continue to drive it for another day until my boyfriend gets back into town

Either way he is going to say you broke it. :D
It really sounds like the transmission is going bad. The clutch only helps you put it into gear. Once in gear, it should not slip or come out of gear.
And no, I would not drive it again just incase it can be repaired. The less you drive it, the less damage may be done.

Okay thanks.I have another questions. I've only been driving it for like a week, am I the reason the transmission would be going out?

No, unless you were really abusive to it and drove it like a mad woman. It would have probably gone out anyway.
