2000 GTP Heads up display

The heads up display on my wifes 2000 Pontiac GTP is not displaying acurately. The Raido display is also displaying scrambled LED characters. Are these controlled by the same computer chip and if so what module is it and can it be replaced by the consumer vs. A dealer?

Sounds like something is loose in the display on the dash or something on the display circuit, which would be in the dash. I have the same car and the radio and gages are controlled separately. It must be something at the display end of the circuit if everything on the display is malfunctioning. Sorry I can't help more, try and get a schematic for it at a GM dealer, they can provide them.
