The only difference between a Pontiac 350 and a 455 is that some Pontiacs engines and distributer and shaft run counter-clock ways aslong as you don't use the distributer or shaft on the 455 you will have no problems your transmission and hanger will fit like a glove. And you're #1 piston might be on the other side of the 350. Look on your intake manifold of the 455 to get the proper fireing order. One last thing is to meassure you're drive shaft it may be alittle shorter, but if you got alittle play and it doesn't fall out of the trans then you're good to go have fun with you're project.
