Hello all, has n e 1 ever heard of ratcheting brake caliper pistons? Apparently, I have them installed on my GP. How would I depress them? Is there a special tool for that, because nobody has ever heard of this style of piston! Also when I depress my brake pedal the front end of the car shakes like no other. What can cause the car to shake that dramatically? Thanks for your time and advice if any is given.

To compress the rear calipers you need to turn the piston and push in at the sametime. If you have an auto parts store that has tools for rent then they should be able to hook you up with what you need. As far as the shaking I would suspect that the front brake rotors are worpped and that is why the frontend shakes while applying the brakes. Have they resurfaced and that should take care of the problem.
