2005 Pontiac Grand Prix Automatic

I'm buying a 2005 Grand Prix and they put it on the machine to inspect it. It wouldn't go threw because the car has to reset its self. How many miles does the car have to be drivin before it will reset?

If you are saying the check engine light is on, insist on getting any codes. It may be as simple as a loose gas cap, or as bad as a transmission.

The codes can be reset with a scan tool.
