how do u tell the differance in a bad intake manifold and a bad head gasket?

Intake manifold gasket will usually throw a fuel mixture code, or a high idle.

A bad head gasket you will have bad compression, vehicle will run horribly, and missfire.

Best way to find out is to check the compression witha compression tester.
