why is my gear shift stuck in park and want come out after i start it

your apt sweitch is probably not working. you are supposed to apply the brake before shifitng out of gear. There should be a button on the right side of the shifter and you remove the cap and push that button down the shifter should shift. But that is something you only use in case of a power loss.
