I recently replaced my starter solenoid. It still won't start consistently, and almost never on the first try. I have to keep turning the ignition until it fires up. Sometimes this only takes a couple tries, other times it takes over 5 minutes. Any ideas?

What does it do? Does it click, or grind or nothing?

It will sometimes click, but usually won't make any sound.

Remove starter and have it bench tested at most autoparts stores, if OK then ignition switch.
