1993 Pontiac Grand Prix stalling, idling, inconsistent

I have a 1993 grand prix 3.1 litre. Idles rough sometimes! Stalls at idle sometimes! Stalls after deceleration sometimes. Very inconsistent. Replaced tps, iac, cleaned the egr valve. Still running the same. Took it to mechanic they replaced the fuel pump, said the pressure was dropping 10lbs erratically. Vehicle still acting the same. They checked all the flow charts, all the sensors, fuel filter, throttle body, and fuel pressure regulator. Nothing comes up on the scanners except the car is running very rich but it runs rich inconsistently. They are stumped! They still have the vehicle its been about 3 weeks. Anyone have an idea? Sometimes the vehicle idles and runs great. Weird!

Had same problem with my '93 Grand Prix. Ironically, the same day of your post. I got on YouTube and found videos describing the same problems I had and diagnosed it as the fuel pressure regulator. Too big of a repair job for me so I took it to a mechanic without telling him what I suspected and he came back with the same result. The part & diagnostic check will cost me about $200 and then 2 1/2 hours of labor so about $400-$500 for the repair.
