Dear Sirs, I have a Pontiac and it is in very good shpe, inside and out. Everything on it is original and it is a Pontiac Grand Prix LE on which everything still works from the a/c to the power windows, etc. I have noticed though that whenever I am on a hill and I stop and I am still in 'drive' that if I do not apply the brake that the car will roll backward. Is this normal? I am guessing not, and what do you suggest I do about it, if anything, if the car runs fine otherwise? Thank You

Yes it is normal.

As long as idle is at correct RPM and trans is full of fluid, I would not worry about it.

If shifts are "soft"or there is any slipping when accelerating, then you have a problem.
