Hi Guys, my 92 pontiac grand prix 3.1 V6 is running very rough at idle, tries to stall, and won't rev past 4000RPM. I think the problem is the MAP sensor, can you tell me where this is located on my engine? I know its on the intake manifold, but not sure which one it is. Thanks in advance.

Colin.

Should be on rear or side of intake. The connector is usually green three prong and the MAP is connected to manifold vacuum.
Check the vacuum line first for tears/cuts and make sure the connector is not broken.

The MAP will set an error code, so jumping terminals A and B of the ALDL will flash the MAP error code.

The ECM will set a default value to the MAP if it fails, this is always a rich (WOT) setting to prevent a lean engine.
