I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM SE V6 3.4L 124,000 Miles and there is a constant loud humming sound coming from the front end. My first thought was that it was a wheel bearing but both drivers and passengers side have been replaced already. When Im going about 40 mph, I go far over to the left and then turn the wheel slightly to the right and noise significantly lessens. I was in an accident about 10 mths ago and it was a passenger side hit. The rim was hit and had a black scuff that couldnt be cleaned so they changed the rim and I also reported that noise then too. On the final repair bill, it said they replaced the wheel bearing hub. I also replaced the axle on the drivers side along with the wheel bearing. Im pretty much at a loss on what to do with this problem. Do you think it is the axle on the passenger side? Or do you think I purchased a shotty wheel bearing? Thank you for your imput! Im very thankful for any suggestions!
