I just replaced the water outlet due to small leak. Removed approx 1 gallon of coolant. Installed new outlet, filled resevour approx 1.5 gallons. Low coolant light stays on. I let vehicle reach operating temp but light will not go out. What did I do wrong?

I've noticed this every time I've drained mine. The coolant resevoir doesn't appear to have any way to immediately vent the float mechanism that triggers the light. My light always goes off after a couple days. I've always assumed it just takes that long to vent the air off the float.

Thanks for the reply craigecooper. I ran it the next day and everything's normal. I thought maybe it was just an air bubble.
