I am the original owner of this car. It has the 3.1L engine. I have repaired the top of the engine gaskets TWICE (@ 85k & 110k). I had an accident in it (4/08)@ 100K & repaired the front cradle. The A/C worked as it has in the past. This year I turned on the a/c it worked fine that time. Now that it has gotten HOT in Arizona, I turned it on again & got nothing but HOT AIR. I need help in that repair. I have the service manual books for this car. But, it gives all the service tech info. Can you help?

You really need to go to a pro for this as you may have leaked it out. You 'll have no way to see where it went. It must be fixed or if you add new freon it will cause other problems and still keep lleaking out.

Thank you the info. I thought that might be the case. I was just hoping that it was something that I could do without the expensive cost of a shop. Happy to have the help. The thing is that the A/C pump(compressor) still ingauges. We now that the Low Preasure sensor still worked after the accident. I was wondering if we put in the freon that has seal swell in it if you would do that at all? I can't afford a big shop bill. We are on a very very tight budget these days (unemployed).

If the compressor still engages I wouldn't bother to put the seal swell in the system. It's not very good for it no matter what the advertising says as it could plug the orifice then you end up spending more to fix that as well. You'll have to take it to a pro, besides the system may be full anyhow A pro can hook the gauges up and tell fairly quickly what is wrong.
