1995 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i have 95 grand am 6 cyl auto I think 3 speed the console says d 3 2, sometimes its hard to start, when it does start as soon as you put it in gear it quits. When it does run and idles runs good, if give it some gas and the rpms comes down it makes a cluncking noise I think in the trans. Someone said maybe the torq con shut off switch ( something like that I forgot ) if so is something I can fix without taking out the trans?

I'm having similar issues with my 95 GA. Did you find the fix yet? If so can you shed some light on the matter for me please? If not I'll let you know when/if I get it fixed.
