I got a 2.5 L Engine in it, its a 91 Grand Am LE and it's got 160K on it, I just replaced the alternator and now the battery light is flickering when I drive it, I was told that it might be the battery, it has been charged since I replaced it. If anybody can help, thanks

Slap a voltmeter on it before you start it, read the voltage and record it -Now fire it up while engine is idling record the voltage then comeback and give it to me.
You could check the belt tension and all connections from the battery and behind the Alty.
