Okay, so I'm lost now. I've had alot of help from everyone on this site and I'm still very grateful. I need some better advice than take it to a mechanic. I still have a strange problem and I can't figure it out. The cooling fans do work and keep the car cool, but I have to unplug the Mass Air Flow Sensor to make the fans come on. Once the MAF is unplugged, the fans come on in about 30-40 seconds and stay on, keeping the car cool, but if I plug in the MAF the fans shut off after 30-40 seconds and won't come back on no matter what the engine temperature is. I have replaced the coolant temperature sensor, the MAF itself and the fan relays. I cannot account for why the fans won't come on when the MAF is plugged in. Please Help.

Okay. Let's try this again. You've replaced the MAF, coolant temp sensor and fan relays. Everything works fine until the MAF is plugged in. There could be a short circuit somewhere in your electrical system, or the PCM (computer) could be at fault. The only way to locate the problem is to run a test on the electrical system, and the PCM. Since the MAF sensor is part of the emissions control system, it would not hurt to investigate all related components there as well. Check the socket were the MAF plugs into. Look for dirt or corrosion. Hook up an on board diagnose II (OBD II) reader to the car and see of any trouble codes come up. Goog Luck!
