I can't find the fan thermostat. I have the Haynes manual, but there is no mention of it anywhere. I don't know what it does or where it is. Does it have anything to do with when the cooling fans come on? I'm pretty sure there's one somewhere because I found one for sale at Autozone. I've looked around pretty carefully, but nothing. I'm sure if it was a snake it would've bit me, but I don't even know what I'm looking for. I could really use a hand on this one, thanks in advance.

You can't find a fan themostat because there isn't one. Your car has only one thermostat, located inside the water pump, and a coolant tempature sensor, located on the intake manifold. The fans are controled by a relay module/fuse. You should have a box under the hood marked "Relays". There should also be a fues in the fuse box marked "cooling fan". If a the termostat, coolant tempature sensor, relay and fuse are good, check the wiring for a short circuit, or other electrical problems. If the wiring is good, replacing the fan should do the trick. Good Luck.
